You need protein, high-quality carbohydrates, and calories. Raw veggies aren’t exactly very filling and eating them after your workout won’t give you nearly enough nutrients or calories that your body demands after a high-intensity session at the gym or a run.
5. Prune Juice
The last thing you need after a workout is a drink that, no matter how healthy it is, actually serves as a laxative. Regular exercise and a healthy diet already should keep you regular; you need a drink like prune juice to intensify what should already be functioning well. But do drink prune juice if you’re constipated.
