6 Ways to Find Time to Exercise Despite a Busy Schedule

find time to exerciseBetween work and family, it can be challenging to find time to exercise. However, you’ll find that once you stop making excuses and allow yourself to get creative, you’ll discover there are plenty of ways to sneak in a workout no matter how busy your life gets. Here are 6 ways to find time to exercise despite a busy schedule.

1. Wake Up 30 minutes Earlier

Mornings can be frantic especially if you have kids to help get ready for school and meals to make. But by getting things like breakfast prepared the night before, your mornings don’t need to be so rough. And by waking up 30 minutes earlier than usual, you’ll have a quiet home to get in a 20-30 minute workout in before everyone starts waking up. The energy boost you get from it will even get you pumped up for the day ahead.Sano Wellness Line Of Vitamins | Now with NanoSyzed® rapid absorption!

2. Work Out During Lunch

Some offices have a gym in their building. This is convenient if you are pressed to find time to exercise.  If yours doesn’t, you can always escape for a 15-20 minute run. When you return from work, enjoy a healthy post-workout lunch that has protein, carbohydrates, and good fats that will replenish and refuel you. You’ll even find that you feel rejuvenated and more energy to finish off the rest of your day.

3. Walk or Run When You Can

Standing in line? Do calf raises. See the escalator? Skip it and take the stairs. Is the grocery nearby? How about the field your kid has soccer practice at? When there’s the opportunity to walk or run to your destination, take it. Pack extra shoes and a small towel if you need to. You’ll even save on gas!

4. Work Out While You Watch

Do you love to catch your favorite shows after dinner? Just because you’re watching TV or streaming video on your laptop doesn’t mean you can’t also be doing jumping jacks or squats. In fact, having your show on while you work out may even improve your concentration and make time pass by quicker, making your exercise routine more fun.

5. Work Out on the Weekend

If squeezing in time for exercise over the work week seems impossible for you, then make time over the weekend. Surely, you can get a good 60-minute training session in on days where you have no work, and the kids don’t have school. Hit the gym, go for a run, or challenge a friend to racquet ball.
You may even want to involve the family and make a day out of it. Make fitness a family affair and go for a run together or challenge each other to swim races.

6. Work Out To Unwind

After a full day, you’re exhausted. But if you want to get a good night’s sleep, a calming workout such as yoga or stretching is perfect as you prepare to close the day. Not only will it relax you but it will get your heart pumping, improving your circulation. It’s even a great way for you and your partner to bond as you cap off the evening and just a few ways to find time to exercise.
